Airport Attire.

Best Blogger Tips
Hello everyone!

I apologize for the fact that this post was published twice... not totally sure how that happened but thank you for your comments on both!

I'm flying home tonight to see my family for the rest of the week and weekend, and this made me realize how much I hate getting dressed for a plane ride. I find that no matter what I wear, whether it be sweatpants or jeans, I'm always uncomfortable. This is usually because I'm either too cold, too hot, too bloated, and the list could go on!

I decided to use one of my favorite sites, Polyvore, to help me create the perfect airport outfit for my excursion tomorrow. I'm absolutely loving it! What do you guys think?

Anyone else have the same airport outfit problems as me?

  1. Personally I can't do heels at the airport, unless it's a short flight - something about the way sitting for so long affects my circulation just makes heels unbearable!

  2. Dressing for the airport is always a pain. I stick to oversized scarves and sweaters, leggings or "jeggings" and boots. It never seems to fail; security is another thing though - leave my makeup alone! :P

  3. I hate plane rides, too, the air is always dry and then there's the air conditioning... So I always bring a soft cashmere scarf in which I wrap myself and try to sleep ;)

  4. Plane-trips are inherently discomforting, so the goal is merely to minimize it to the extent you can. Your selection is interesting. I like the hat. Not everyone can pull off wearing a hat but I suspect you can. You have panache!

  5. I totally agree, I hate planerides! For me it's more the fact that I can't go anywhere, just sit in a stupid seat. Hate it! I hope you'll have a wonderful time back home though:-)

  6. I could not agree more. I'm never comfortable either, I guess you just have to deal with it or something. But I hope you'll have a great time home =)

  8. That is a perfect outfit! I arrived home a few days ago and was freezing! I should have put more thought into my outfit that day.

I would add shoes that slide off easily are always good for when you're going through security!

  9. This is a really cute travel outfit! I always look awful in airports, lol. I need to be more like you and be a little more stylish when I travel. ;)

  10. Love the outfit - especially the boots! But I've found that the hands-down most comfortable travel outfit is dresses (in winter, choose a maxi) - they're both chic and very comfy. Leggings work as well.

  11. I love the outfit but I will change the high heel boots for a comfortable converse. =)
    Kisses and enjoy your trip!

  12. I totally feel you 100% on the woes of airports/traveling and fashion. I usually dress as comfortable as possible, but sometimes that's hard if your traveling for business or whatever. I'm leaving for Mexico on Saturday which I'll be dealing this your same dilemma, adding in going from 12 degree weather to 90 degree weather, making everything even more difficult. I need to be able to teleport! The outfit you have picked out is super cute, love the nerdy chic glasses :-P

  13. Yes! I always have issues deciding what to wear too... and I can have all of those issues (too hot, too cold, bloated, etc) all in the same flight!! I have decided my best travelling outfit is my lululemon tights with a long top, comfy sweater, boots and a big comfy scarf to keep me warm or as a pillow while I sleep. Hope you have a great trip home!!

  14. Hi there,

I was browsing through your blog. I totally agree: It is so hard to find a perfect outfit when travelling on a plane (especially long haul flights). If I feel comfortable, then I would look totally frumpy but if I look good, the whole journey sucks.

I was looking at your outfit on a previous post (Mustard Sweater top) with the mini Chanel bag.
The bag is so freaking cute. I am so in love with Chanel at the moment.

Following you. Hope you would visit my blog page and follow too!
