    Though yarn work in shoes and clothing is really cute, calling the trend "crochet" seems to be misleading. I think most retailers call things crochet because it sounds more interesting than calling it knit when in actuality the piece is knit lace.

    Crochet is also really bulky compared to lace work. That crochet dress from Forever21 might look cute, but I don't think I would wear it that often since it probably feels like carrying a fishnet around.
